During an interview with Nova radio host Kent ‘Smallzy’ Small on his Celebrity Small Talk show, Angelina Jolie confessed that she doesn’t typically watch her own movies. The 46-year-old actress spoke about her latest role in the MCU film, The Eternals, before admitting that she prefers the creative process of making movies over viewing the final product.

According to the Academy Award winner, there are several films that she has never seen because she likes the production experience. She added that she usually gets frustrated while watching her films because they often turn out differently from what she expected. Therefore, she prefers to avoid being critical of her work. The Hollywood actress highlighted that she derives satisfaction from the filmmaking process rather than viewing her finished products. Nonetheless, she made an exception for The Eternals.

This latest Marvel film is the 28th in the franchise and is based on a fictional race of humanoid aliens known as the Eternals, which first appeared in an American comic book series. The plot revolves around the Eternals who possess unique powers and are immortal, coming out of hiding after thousands of years to fight against their enemy, the Deviants.

The movie premiered in Los Angeles this month and boasts a star-studded cast including Angelina Jolie as the leader of the Eternals, Thena, Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, and Lauren Ridloff as Makkari. The celebrated Academy Award-winning director Chloé Zhao directed and co-wrote the film, who previously won Best Director and Best Picture at the Oscars last year for Nomadland.
