Scarlett Johansson recently discussed the speculations surrounding Black Widow’s possible comeback in the MCU. She also shared her personal thoughts on how her character, who tragically passed away in Avengers: Endgame, could be reintroduced into the franchise.
During an interview with Today, Scarlett Johansson was asked about the rumors sparked by a recent Variety report suggesting a possible reunion of the original Avengers cast for a movie. In response, Johansson jokingly pondered the idea of a vampire or zombie version of her character making a comeback, expressing her interest in such a unique twist.
Additionally, Johansson mentioned that efforts were underway to refine the script for her upcoming film, Tower of Terror. She described the project, inspired by the popular Disney attraction, as a significant challenge that requires considerable attention to detail.
For more than ten years, the actress portrayed Natasha Romanoff, also known as Black Widow, starting with her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2010’s Iron Man 2. She also featured in the Avengers films and headlined her own solo movie in 2021, sharing the screen with Florence Pugh, Rachel Weisz, and David Harbour.
Speculation about a potential reunion of the original Avengers was dismissed by Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige. However, he did mention that he is collaborating with Johansson on an undisclosed project that is not related to Black Widow.
